REMINDER: The Lab – Plunder – Snipers Only

In just one day our Thanksgiving Event will kick off and hopefully provide our community with five days of awesome within all our UNCHARTED 2 mutiplayer modes. We’ve made sure our Thanksgiving Event is packed with goodies -- read on below to get all the details. If this is your first time playing "The Lab" -- “The Lab” is a special, limited-time playlist for UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves multiplayer that is active every other weekend. “The Lab” playlist features one or more custom-tuned gametype variations chosen by our game designers to test potential new settings, try out alternate gametypes in a real-world setting or just mix things up for the sake of variety. “The Lab” is open from Wednesday , November 24, at 10:00 AM PDT (what time is that in my city?) through Monday, November 29, at 10:00 AM PDT (what time is that in my city?). This episode of “The Lab” features is Plunder – Snipers Only. All players are only equipped with the Dragon Sniper, initially loaded up with 8 rounds of ammo – and no pistols and no grenades whatsoever. There will be Dragon Sniper weapon pick-ups littered around all the maps to help you refresh ammo as you deplete your supply during the match. We know everyone – well, most of you anyway – play to get cash and increase in level, so we've kept Boosters enabled during this weekend! I think slotting Deposit is a no-brainer if you want to maximize your cash throughout all the matches in "The Lab." If your team is working together and communicating well, or you're under level 40, you or one of your teammates may want to slot Treasure Bearer instead, as scoring often and quickly to get a 5–0 shutout is key to getting as much cash as possible in Plunder. We're also guessing it's pretty much a forgone conclusion to see Fleet Foot slotted across the board, as pairing that with the Dragon Sniper proves to be a beneficial combination. Speaking of cash – we’ve enabled Double Cash for the full FIVE days of our Thanksgiving Event. The weekend gets that much sweeter when you remember that we are also removing the cash cap entirely starting on Wednesday. As mentioned last week, we’ll be taking a close look at the games once we remove the cash cap to make sure games are not being exploited in such a way that will make games unplayable. We’re aware of a few ways you can play the system to rack up a lot of cash – however, there are better ways to maximize your cash per minute rate in the long run than exploiting the system in these ways. Finally, you may remember we had some special skins around this time last year – I think they were popular, so we’ve brought back Doughnut Drake and Doughnut Lazarevic for the Thanksgiving Event. The active maps for this weekend of “The Lab” are:

• The Lost City
• The Plaza
• The Train Wreck
• The Sanctuary

This limited load out is very likely to produce some interesting matches as the weekend plays out. I have no doubt, based on forum chatter, that some of you will find this weekend’s “The Lab” somewhat hit or miss depending on how the teams stack up. I’ll be really interested to read through the impressions thread on our NaughtyDog.com community forums once the “The Lab” has closed and all is said and done. We’ll be opening the Plunder – Snipers Only discussion thread on the Naughty Dog community forums at about the same time “The Lab” starts this weekend.
